The Tour de France is coming to Villars on 10th July 2022 and Switzerland will host 2 stages of the Tour.
The route will start in Aigle and go via Montreux, the Col des Mosses (1,445m), Les Diablerets then up to the Col de la Croix (1,778m) and back down through Villars to Aigle and then over into France. Flagged by stunning alpine pastures the Col de La Croix is open to traffic from late May to November depending on snow conditions and is a must for cyclists. In the winter it becomes a toboggan and cross-country ski run.
It is a massive privilege for the tour to run through your town so I am sure that the bike crazy inhabitants of Villars will prepare something very special when the tour passes through. We are looking forward to hosting participants and support crew for this special event.
